What Makes This Coffee Shine?
The Region
Grown in the high elevations of West Arsi (1,900–2,050 meters), this coffee reflects the rich diversity of Ethiopia’s coffee-growing culture. The farms in the Nensebo woreda are small, sustainable plots where coffee trees are often interspersed with other crops in a garden-like setting. The volcanic soil and subtropical climate create an ideal environment for cultivating coffees with clean, fruit-forward profiles.
The Process
This lot was naturally processed, a method that enhances its fruity characteristics. Coffee cherries are hand-picked at peak ripeness and dried whole on raised beds for 8–25 days, depending on the weather. This meticulous care ensures the beans absorb the sweet, berry-like flavors of the fruit. The result? A cup that feels as lush and exciting as the region it comes from.
The Producers
This coffee is the result of collaboration among hundreds of smallholder farmers who deliver their ripe cherries to the Testi West Arsi Washing Station. The station has been a cornerstone of quality in the region since 2010, using traditional methods and local expertise to bring out the best in every bean.

When brewed, this coffee offers a perfumey aroma with hints of jasmine and fresh pear. On the palate, you’ll experience a burst of strawberry and blackberry, followed by a subtle, sparkling cola-like acidity.
